Nothing exceptional about the film, but it was quirky and enjoyable. If you are really enthusiastic about animation movies, it can be watched once. But it is pretty skippable. There is no serious emotional element or character arc in this. Dark has always been a nice guy. Unfortunately, people have always been afraid of him against the backdrop of joyous Light. It is the story of a night (over several decades) with the Night Entities like Sweet Dreams, and Time Travel and what-not, a lot of which was bleak. It would have done better to just focus on Orion's arc of conquering fears than to trace all sorts of tangents with the story.

As the movie progresses, the plot becomes more and more random with the story becoming more and more incomprehensible. For some reason they had to write in the main character’s daughter in when he was young which makes it even stranger. There was also pretty bad acting. I have no idea why the critics gave this a 92% for something like this.
