Dark and compelling debut from director Gavras who has come from a predominantly music video background. A superb performance from lead Vicente Cassel is perhaps marred by a lack lustre supporting cast, a story of struggle, rebellion and perversion is told in some style. I look forward to what the future holds for Romain Gavras, an up and coming director with confidence and raw talent.

I understand us people dont dig this movie. its mostly about decay, false prophets and alien culture. in france it resonate with moral crisis and give it bitter taste not everybody can enjoy. Though it is served by great cast and director that fully address the point. It reminds of wilds things, anonymous characters away from the global way of the world, adressing everyone's need for a story in our life. Like it very ùuch recommend it, along with those underground french movies that tastes of danger and violence : Gasard Noe's Dobermann for example
