Brian Costello Common Sense Media Excellent coming-of-age docu; cursing, drinking, smoking. Rated: 4/5 Dec 22, 2020 Full Review Andrew Emerson Film Threat This documentary has the kind of nuance and intelligence that our public discourse could sorely use - and ultimately, it's everyone's loss that the film is getting next to no attention outside of Nebraska. Rated: 8/10 Oct 10, 2019 Full Review Ryan Syrek The Reader (Omaha, NE) Out of Omaha doesn't put a bow on things, mince words, or offer concrete solutions. It just dares everyone to look where most choose not to peek. Rated: A+ Sep 9, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Everyone is dealt different cards from the time they're born, sometimes you might have a short deck. Many people, including myself, can relate to struggles in life that will make or break you..... do yourself a favor and watch this documentary. Oh yeah and..... OMAHAAAA! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member While this movie provides a different paradigm lens for the audience to view through as far as the motivations for certain choices made by those living in poverty. The documentary ultimately undercuts its own premise by showing how both twins ultimately are able to lead better lives by making better choices and removing themselves from the negative influence of the North Omaha community. This is exemplified by the ultimate result their decision to find steady honest work in a neighboring community contrasted against the decision of their half brother to remain in a life of crime and the devastating consequence it reaps for him. Also as someone who grew up in Omaha I can say that the movie grossly misrepresents the gap in the various socioeconomic classes in the greater Omaha area. I would recommend this film but take it with a grain of salt. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary was amazing! I really gave an excellent representation of the systematic racism that as a black man I feel but not too many people see or understand! Excellent documentary!
