Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It becomes a very dark and dire movie... But I like the way this debuting director, Mike Green, creeps up on all that. Jun 6, 2020 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies You would like to think that no real people would make the number of dumb decisions it took to land Wade and Lisa in such a predicament. Rated: 3/5 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective A frustrating watch at times in terms of its key players, but still a tense, decently-made film. Larry L I'm usually pretty forgiving about so so movies. This is one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. They get lost in the outback don't know where they're at. They get out of the car with little water and no food and take off walking into the wilderness and get lost. And during the course of the movie his girlfriend gets stung by a scorpion and he leaves her out in the wilderness alone. It's a dumb movie about stupid people. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Sparky K I wasn't expecting much when I started watching this, but I was soon gripped and totally invested in the two main characters. Very tense and very sad, but well worth a watch… Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review Deon V Rubbish. Don't waste your time. Poor acting, poor script Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review French F Just terrible B grade rubbish. Unlikeable characters. Dumb dialogue. Super scorpions punching above their weight. No actual real tension or drama, just stupidity. Apart from that amazing. P.S. whoever funded this please hit me up. I have a few movie ideas... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/18/23 Full Review Adam T Yes kids, don't go to Australia especially if you are flying from across the Pacific! If the jellyfish or snakes dont kill you, the scorching outback heat will! Apparently the two lead characters in this film were the only Americans not to own handguns. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Fionna M So it starts off as a road trip but there is a major falling out with the two characters in the first 10minutes. Then it transcends quickly into a series of decisions with a domino effect. However any slightly educated person who knows anything about travelling in the Outback realises how it will end about 5 decisions back. The male character Wade has so much ego he fails to consider logical and life affirming choices. This is the most interesting part because human failure is at the heart of so many misfortunes. But ultimately human stupidity becomes annoying and unsatisfying. The cinematography was brutal and beautiful and captured the unforgiving and stoic nature of the Australian outback.
