Had potential but it is apparent from early on that it won't realise it. Concept was interesting, but from the beginning the movie drifts and is quite dull. Ultimately seems contrived. Decent cast do their best, but are humstrung by the dull plot and listless direction.

Several unconnected stories are held together by loose story threads, eventually intersecting on a barren highway. The whole thing reeks of made-for-TV movie and crawls along at a snail's pace. Occasionally the actor's do good with the material, but not often enough.

Cringe inducing dialogue and predictable plot along with some oversimplified politics make for a barely watchable film. It's a shame because it's a decent cast. sherilyn fenn is in this, for all you peakers out there.

I'm not sure what the movie thinks its purpose is; at the end, we are pleased with the outcome but not enlightened. But there are moments I will remember, and Cardone evokes a real sense for the deserted night highways.
