See more Joanna T @aerialgirly92 Mar 11 Really entertaining & heartwarming movie about a snobby rich guy who is mean towards an employee who happens to be a single mother with 3 kids who took a job cleaning his yacht. He gets drunk, falls overboard, and when he washes up onto shore, he loses his memory. His sister pretends she doesn't know him when she gets to the hospital, and the single mother ends up picking him up & pretends to be his wife. She takes him home & uses him for chores. He grows to like the family & acts as the kids' dad. He gets a hardworking job in construction. The single mother falls in love with him. The rich fam eventually comes to claim him once he was spotted still alive but he decides to stick with the poor family bc it was rich & fulfilling even if he didn't have money. In the end, it turns out that the yacht is still in his name & that he can resell it for millions. I guess in real life, the single mother would've gotten arrested. From the start, the comedy feels overly ridiculous and forced, making it difficult to take anything seriously. Instead of being charming or lighthearted, the humor becomes exhausting and disconnected from the story. The screenplay is messy and poorly structured, constantly moving backward instead of building toward anything meaningful. There is little sense of momentum, and the film fails to create any emotional or narrative investment. The acting across the board feels lazy and uninspired, with no performances standing out in a positive way. The leads lack chemistry, and the male lead in particular feels miscast and unconvincing. Everything about the film feels half-finished and careless, as if no one was fully committed to making it work. Even after giving it multiple chances, it remains dull and forgettable.
