On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers drop behind enemy lines to penetrate the walls of a fortified church and destroy a radio transmitter. As the soldiers approach their target, they soon begin to realize that there's more going on in the Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. Making their way to an underground lab, the outnumbered men stumble upon a sinister experiment that forces them into a vicious battle against an army of the undead.

Enjoyable...I didn't care about a single character in this movie, and I didn't care who got blown up...I didn't feel invested, but it was action-heavy enough and well-acted enough to appreciate...once it commits, it's really entertaining.

Overlord takes many elements you've seen before and creates a mashup that's able to deliver some gory fun, riveting suspense, zombie horrors, and terrifying depictions of modern war in equal measure.

If you enjoyed Wolfenstein in any capacity, you would like this movie. If you love action, this is a great movie. If you are looking for lots of body horror, this is your thing. If you are looking for a deep, think piece, this isn’t your deal.

Overlord (2018) This is the first time I've watched this movie. At first I found it quite boring and confusing, but after 30 minutes I started to understand it better. It's a great war movie with mutant zombies.

This is definitely a B-Rated movie but has a pretty good plot and script. The action is pretty much to be expected - war time, random female who learns really quick on how to operate a firearm, the loud mouthed NY native, etc. The movie overall is a horror-slasher that makes you think about what kind of experiments were done - think Human Centipede. It's worth a watch.

Someone with a taste for both horror and war films can find a lot to enjoy in this film. The action is well scripted, the characters performances are solid, and the story is enjoyable and easy to follow, if not a bit derivative.
