Rugged ex-convict Eddie (Kim Bodnia) and his sexy girlfriend, Maria (Maria Bonnevie), live isolated from others in their rural hideaway. But when a mysterious old prison buddy of Eddie's, Kullman (Mikael Persbrandt), intrudes onto the scene, tension between the two men threatens the life Eddie has made with Maria. Istället för att göra något av den stämning som byggts upp i början av filmen, segar det ur i oändlighet och inte ens en skäggig, lönnfet Kim Bodnia kan rädda biffen.
