This is Ozzy Osbourne like you've never seen before: an honest, warm and deeply personal portrait of one of the greatest rock stars of all-time, detailing how the singer's world shuddered to a halt six years ago, forcing him to contemplate who he really is, confront his own mortality and question whether or not he can ever perform on stage for one last time. Addressing his health issues and impact of his Parkinson's diagnosis, the film showcases the central role music continues to play in Ozzy's life -- also proving his mischievous sense of humor remains resolutely intact despite it all.

The movie chronicles eventual triumphs that are invariably tinged with sadness. Through it all, Osbourne’s devotion to his family, his fans, his bandmates and, yes, his art is palpable. Go to Full Review

Raises a fascinating question: Is continuing to perform as a rock star, despite advanced age, disease, and debilitating pain, something that corresponds to the ideals of metal and rock ’n’ roll, or is it the antithesis of that? Go to Full Review

Yvonne M @Sea-Dreamer 15h A well done tribute that is worth watching. Rest in peace Ozzy. See more Michael Antony A Dec 2 Mikey’s Movie Review: Ozzy: No Escape From Now (2025) A beautifully made, occasionally funny, poignant farewell to the ‘Prince of Darkness’… Most of us fans already know much of HIStory (although much of it is covered here), but this is so much more. This is really about his final years. His daily struggles with Parkinson’s and a crippling spinal surgery in 2019 that may have been unnecessary… As his ever devout wife Sharon watches him fall into a massive depression, the Osbourne family’s devotion and encouragement together with unwavering support from fans and bandmates (old and new) appear to give him the boost he needs. But will it be enough to get him to make one final LIVE appearance? It’s a mostly painful watch as the documentary chronicles eventual triumphs tinged with sadness. But as a testament to both his enduring legacy and the indomitable human spirit it’s a fitting epitaph. Don’t miss it. But stock up on tissues first! Mikey’s Movie Rating: 5/5* See more Brent H @BrentMHinson Oct 29 What makes this documentary difficult to watch is that we all know the ending. The wounds of losing a music icon like Ozzy are still fresh in our collective minds. We've been allowed inside the Osbournes' lives before, but the mood is much different this time. Over the course of a 4-to-5-year span, we watch John—not the mythical "Ozzy" Osbourne—deteriorate in front of our eyes. If you've ever endured a chronic condition that leaves you feeling good one day and terrible the next, you'll watch empathetically as Ozzy tries to return to the thing he loves: music. In this attempt, you'll also see just how powerful, healing, and truly motivating music can be to the human spirit. James Hetfield delivers a poignant quote that embodies the film's central arc in the days leading up to Ozzy's final show: "It's gotta be difficult when your mind wants to do what you've always done because there's no doubt the spirit of heavy metal lives in Ozzy Osbourne … but your body is telling you, 'I am just so done'… that's gotta be a very difficult position to be in … and I will get there one day, I'm sure. And I don't know how I'm going to handle that either, so, again, Ozzy is cutting the path for us." See more Les N Oct 24 You don't need to be a Sabbath fan to appreciate this. See more Movie T @TheMovieTalk Oct 19 This documentary captures the final five years of the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, offering an intimate look at the challenges he faced as his health declined. It doesn’t shy away from showing the pain and struggles of those years, but what truly stands out is his incredible courage and determination to keep rocking. Music was the heartbeat of his life, and despite the difficulties he endured toward the end, Ozzy gave fans a powerful farewell with a memorable performance in his hometown of Birmingham. It’s a deeply personal and emotional film — a must-watch for any fan of this iconic rock legend. See more Hunter A @Fatal_Error_Music Oct 17 He didn't invent heavy metal, he was heavy metal.
