06/16/2011 Saw the premiere and an after-show with some of the cast. Sure it was interesting, and an original story. Don't know if I would've been quite so taken and found it so believable, though, if it weren't for the see-the-cast-on-stage after. So the movie on its own -- I'd say 4 stars. But her name Pstar. Every time they called her that I was think "porn star" not the vision you want with a then 9 year old. See more 01/25/2010 this film was @ last year's Tribeca Film Fest and I missed it so was crazy excited to catch a last screen show; she was even there for Q&A at the end!! it's a documentary about a 9yo girl who's a rapper and the story followed her trials and tribulations...of being a young star with a dream... her father's dream, her relationship with her dad, her drug addicted mom, her love and natural talent for music... she's fearless and I'm inspired! try to catch it if you can > http://www.pstarrising.com/ See more 08/20/2009 Fairly interesting documentary.
