Critics Consensus

Vin Diesel parodies his tough guy image for the family audience, but the result is only moderately amusing.

Nell Minow Common Sense Media A crass, crude, and overly-familiar comedy. Rated: 1/5 Dec 28, 2010 Full Review Nigel Floyd Time Out Per its title, The Pacifier will lull you to sleep. Aug 16, 2007 Full Review Nathan Rabin AV Club At one point, Diesel literally wades into a rancid sewer and emerges covered in feces, an image that sadly doubles as a metaphor for his career. Pedro Henrique C The Pacifier It's a very pleasant movie to watch when you're not doing anything, are there any problems with the script? Yes, much more Vin Diesel and pure humor. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/09/24 Full Review Jace E Do the Peter Panda Dance! This movie is so much fun. Vin Diesel hams it up in the role, the kids are great and the plot itself is entertaining. The Pacifier delivers on exactly what you would expect in looking at the poster. My kids loved watching it and I loved re-visiting a piece of my childhood with this one. It might seem predictable, but every small moment leading up and contributing to the finale is exactly what I look for in screenplay construction. Best Character: Lulu Best Quote: "Goodnight, Peter Panda" Best Scene: The final Peter Panda Dance Best Song: Everyday Superhero Note: Can you imagine the other half of this movie where the mom is guessing a password for two weeks? I'm glad we got to see this side of the story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Prabudhjeet A Its a great holiday movie to watch with the family. There are less mumblings by Vin Diesel and its classic no one likes him at first but likes later. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/05/24 Full Review Nathan G A very satisfying and enjoyable family movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/16/24 Full Review GIDEON W this movie has a ton of acion in it! i love achin movies!
