A cinematic drama, Padma Shri Kaur Singh is essentially a love story of the Olympian boxer-turned-farmer, Kaur Singh. The story of PADMA SHRI KAUR SINGH moves from him being a simpleton in a small village called Khanal Khurd in Sangrur, to him reaching the pinnacle of his career by clinching 11 gold medals in various boxing championships worldwide. After all that, an equal magnitude of debacle grips him when he sets out to claim prize money promised to him by the Punjab Government. He runs pillar to post for 37 years to get what he rightfully deserved. Instead, what he gets is humiliation and insults. This untold story of Kaur Singh brings forth the humane aspect of Kaur Singh and the inhuman aspect of the rude system that embroils him.
