Painless has a lot of bright spots. The cast and the production were good, and when you add in the graphic novel-like storyline mixed with a classic mad scientist feel, it really all meshed well together...

How disappointing this movie was for us :(. We watched this strictly based on the handful of stellar reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and expected a surprisingly good indie flick. But while I had sympathy for the main character he wasn’t that likable or endearing, and I find it hard to believe that the charismatic female character pursued him like she did. Also, I thought the doctor characters were predictable and the ending felt like a teen drama and was predictable. I am sorry to say unpleasant things about this movie, but that is how I felt :(.
