Theresa Where Parachute excels and why it ought to be required viewing: it doesnt particularly emphasize a right or wrong way to go about existing within the boundaries of ones mental health, but rather it just restates its core thesis: Nobody's perfect and to be human is to live with yourself. Im simplifying it, I think, but even amidst all our pain, there is still so much love to go around if we let it (read: it takes work and care and commitment to ourselves first and foremost). And its nice to be reminded of that. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/24 Full Review Reggie N What a fantastic directorial debut from Brittany Snow. Parachute is a beautiful, emotional, empathetic, and heartfelt film with an incredible performance by Courtney Eaton, who shines in this. I'm sure we will be seeing more of her. Hopefully we get much more of this impressive writing and directing from Brittany Snow. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Jayne M Film hits hard with realistic portrayal of mental health issues and self discovery. A must watch. Jessica Kiang Variety Deeply felt and certainly proves that [Snow]... has a promisingly deft directorial hand. Apr 19, 2023 Full Review Leslie Felperin Hollywood Reporter Smart and compassionate. Mar 21, 2023 Full Review Rod Machen Austin Chronicle The inevitable climax of Parachute not only hits hard but is set up perfectly by all that comes before. Mar 14, 2023 Full Review Monique Jones Common Sense Media The movie's focus on mental health -- as well as the stars' interesting performances -- make Parachute stand out from other indie films, if not enough to qualify it as a totally new take on the romantic drama genre. Apr 12, 2024 Full Review Joel Copling Spectrum Culture The message of Parachute is sound, but as they say, the execution falters. Apr 10, 2024 Full Review Robert Kojder Flickering Myth Brought to life with moving and committed performances, these are two relatable characters that mostly feel real until the film stagnates, and then they don’t Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 9, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews
