PARALLAX is a Psychodrama/Science-Fiction feature film that follows Naomi Johnston, a young artist, who wakes up in a life that she doesn't recognize. A man next to her in bed, a bedroom cluttered with personal photos of the two and an engagement ring on her finger. It all has to be a dream, right? As Naomi begins to uncover the truths of the life that she's found herself in, the gravity of her reality begins to weigh heavily and the reliability of her sanity is called into question. Only at peace when surrounded by the arms of the fig tree growing in her backyard, Naomi is haunted by visions of drowning in a black abysmal void and the failing confidence of those closest to her.

Dan Buffa Ramble On With Buffa (Substack) Along with a despondent theme, the movie never quite figures out how to stick its landing with the message at hand. Ambitious in parts, but mostly confusing. Rated: C Jun 1, 2023 Full Review MontiLee Stormer MovieReelist.com What's Level 1? What's Level 5? Did I miss a prequel? I don't know and I had to watch Parallax twice, but I still don't get it, and it's frustrating. Rated: 1.5 Jul 28, 2020 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall An ambitious low-budget thriller, this visually striking freak-out quietly blends a bonkers sci-fi slant into a story that's eerily easy to identify with. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 21, 2020 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews The pacing is sluggish. Rated: C+ Jul 19, 2020 Full Review Anthony Ray Bench Film Threat Parallax is not the worst film out there, but it's not memorable either. It's very milquetoast with a tidbit of potential that pops up here and there. Rated: 6/10 Jul 19, 2020 Full Review Keri O'Shea Warped Perspective Memory is something sinister and not to be trusted in Parallax - an unusual, character-centred story which admittedly takes a while to get going, but when it does, goes somewhere very interesting indeed.
