Ryan Fleege, wife Emily, and their 7-year-old daughter, Leila, prepare for Christmas in their new home. After finding an old and mysterious camcorder, Ryan quickly learns that it can record strange apparitions that are invisible to the naked eye. At no point does anyone say, "put down the camera, bro. You're freaking me out." When do they think they're going to watch this stuff back? "Hey, let's crack open a few beers and watch those old tapes of us watching those old tapes." I can't see it.

Another issue that Ghost Dimension suffers from is showing the spook. The reason the Paranormal Activity series work is partially because you don’t get to see the spook, you just get the aching feeling that it’s there.

...stretched its one-time legitimate creepy credibility into a tired and tacky frightfest that overstayed its welcome. Basically, audiences needed another Paranormal Activity installment much like a creaky skeleton needs its share of body fat.

This one seems to have been ill received. I think this was really when people started to get tired with the whole story/concept of this franchise, & then it really went off the rails with Next Of Kin. I liked some of what they did with Ghost Dimension, the ending really starts to pick up, but it sort of falls flat.

The Ghost dimension is one of the most interesting but terrible movies out there if that makes sense. The whole way you’re interested and this movie finally gives us answers to the other movies. The runtime is short but this movie isn’t as AWFUL as part 4 but doesn’t mean it’s great. This is by far the least scariest Paranormal activity movie and it becomes like a later slasher movie from the late 80s. The acting and dialog is really bad. But it does have a good house
