Marvelous new Sonny Liston documentary leaves me feeling--as always re: Sonny Liston--restless, sad, wanting answers. Mike Tyson offers wonderful commentary but for some reason we don't get to hear what he--or an erudite Ohio State professor affiliated with the Nation of Islam--believes ultimately happened to Liston. I get that the case is "cold," but the ending of this film, like every other account of Liston life/death, seemed timid with its final feinting blows. Still skirting hard truths. Nonetheless, extremely well-made, and well worth watching.
