delysid d stupid sequel, its a different guy playing the sheriff and a different guy playing the deputy! the original was great, this sequel is just lame Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/06/18 Full Review johnathon w Mediocre sequel that has little of what made the original great, most notably the lack of Joe Don Baker in the title role (Bo Svenson brings no of the passion Baker did). The production value suffers as well, with it looking more like a bad TV movie than a actual film. In no way worthy of it's classic predecessor. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Passable Buford Pusser biopic Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member An akward sequal to a film that wasn't that great to begin with. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Bo Svenson is very good in the role, but he's a better-looking, more level-headed Buford Pusser. I missed the somewhat scary, hulking, angry, redneck quality of Joe Don Baker. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member With a name like Bufotd Pusser, he HAD to be good. Jack Breschard Los Angeles Free Press Buford Pusser, morally and aesthetically, leaves much to be desired as a classic, tragic hero with whom a thinking audience can empathize. Nov 26, 2019 Full Review Walter Chaw Film Freak Central As with most attempts to be socially relevant, however, this sequel merely manages to seem awkward and bloated with exposition.
