Uniquely original story, excellent casting, superlative performances - the standout is the debutant Radhika Madan - and competent screenplay and direction that makes the story work, which is no small feat in Bollywood where numerous films butcher a good story/script with hackneyed direction, stereotypical screenplays and bombastic acting. What make it even more enjoyable for me was knowing that this story is based on a real life of the writer who based it on his own marriage.

Pataakha is like a cracker, its bright, loud, leaves fumes smoke and not to everyone's taste but a delight to watch none the less. The plot revolves around two sisters who are always bickering, the slangs they use and their rowdy fights are a treat to watch but does get stale after a time. The cast and their performances are fabulous but the story and script needed more content.
