Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express I've always maintained that Bharadwaj is great with set-up and dwindles as a finisher. Happy to be proved wrong this time around. Pataakha's ending is a cracker. Rated: 3/5 Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Anupama Chopra Film Companion It's cacophony without juice or magic. Rated: 2/5 Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Swetha Ramakrishnan Firstpost Way too many directors have managed to capture the essence, dialect and inherent charm of rural India, but Vishal Bhardwaj takes it one step further with Pataakha. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 10, 2023 Full Review Anna M.M. Vetticad annavetticadgoes2themovies Trust Vishal Bhardwaj to get to the root of India-Pakistan enmity plus crack Bollywood's star system, both with one stone. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 11, 2021 Full Review Poulomi Das Arré Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha understands this language of sisterhood, where throwing abuses, insults, and jabs at each other is par for the course. Mar 11, 2019 Full Review Shilpa Jamkhandikar Reuters Much like his protagonists, Bhardwaj doesn't know when to cut it short and walk away. Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Uniquely original story, excellent casting, superlative performances - the standout is the debutant Radhika Madan - and competent screenplay and direction that makes the story work, which is no small feat in Bollywood where numerous films butcher a good story/script with hackneyed direction, stereotypical screenplays and bombastic acting. What make it even more enjoyable for me was knowing that this story is based on a real life of the writer who based it on his own marriage. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Never soars high, never redeems itself completely. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Pataakha is like a cracker, its bright, loud, leaves fumes smoke and not to everyone's taste but a delight to watch none the less. The plot revolves around two sisters who are always bickering, the slangs they use and their rowdy fights are a treat to watch but does get stale after a time. The cast and their performances are fabulous but the story and script needed more content. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilarious movie. Brilliant display of talent. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member High quality talent displayed. Entertaining. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Exceptional performances.. The best I have seen in recent times.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
