Samuel B. Prime Slant Magazine As it stands, Hartley has too much respect for the genre films that precede him, and in translating this respect he fails to find his own voice as a director. Sep 24, 2019 Full Review Adam Nayman The Dissolve [Patrick] is malevolent, but he's also melancholy-the ultimate example of a guy who likes a girl, but try as he might, can't make a move. Rated: 3.5/5 Mar 14, 2014 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com More horror remakes should be as thoughtful as "Patrick: Evil Awakens," an atypically clever riff on the 1978 Australian thriller "Patrick." Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 14, 2014 Full Review Tim Brayton Alternate Ending Loud and aggressive and obvious, grating on its own terms and revolting as a remake of a reasonably smart, character-oriented horror film. Rated: 2/5 Sep 8, 2020 Full Review Pat Padua Spectrum Culture What was an unassuming, creepy study of the fragile mind and body becomes a clumsy delivery system for cheap scares and bad CGI. Rated: 1/5 Aug 31, 2018 Full Review Deirdre Crimmins Film Thrills A fun throwback horror film. Aug 21, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Eric C That so called horror was laughable. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/27/22 Full Review Audience Member Falsely intriguing starts that turns into worse than a cliche Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/16/19 Full Review Audience Member Absolute garbage. The first 3rd is intriguing enough to make you think it has potential. Then it wanes, then around the halfway mark it nose dives. One of the most predictable horror movies I've seen and that's saying something. The rules of it's universe change over and over and there's no feeling of risk for the viewer. Save yourself 93 minutes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit too spooky for my liking but quite a good film and story Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok...it was a great horror movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member For sure not what I expected and I kinda think telekinesis is silly but it was decent.
