Adrian Mack Georgia Straight It's a rickety construct that loses its way here and there, but Saleken aces matters with a sweetly gimcrack payoff at the end. Feb 22, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

dave s It's always nice to show some support for a low-budget independent film, but Patterson's Wager is a hard movie to get behind. The premise is intriguing. Charles (Fred Ewanuick) is an insecure man who discovers that he has the sporadic ability to see events two minutes before they happen. His girlfriend Audrey (Chelah Horsdal), not without her own quirks, belongs to a family who are secretly committed to protecting Sasquatches in the forests of British Columbia. While the two leads give subdued but effective performances, they are sabotaged by some brutal dialogue, much of which does nothing to either advance the plot or develop the characters. In addition, most scenes run much longer than necessary (the original Sasquatch flashback, for instance), making the whole thing a test for any viewer's patience, quite an accomplishment for a movie that doesn't even crack the ninety-minute mark.
