Six years after he saved the day at his beloved New Jersey shopping mall, security guard Paul Blart (Kevin James) is taking a well-deserved vacation. In recognition for his hard work, he's won an all-expenses-paid trip to a security convention in Las Vegas, and decides to take his teenage daughter, Maya (Raini Rodriguez), with him. True to form, however, Paul just can't relax and take it easy, so when he uncovers a criminal threat to the hotel, he springs into action.

Bathed in flop sweat and bereft of purpose, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 strings together fat-shaming humor and Segway sight gags with uniformly unfunny results.

Robert H. @Rwhobbs198 2d Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015) sticks closely to the formula of the first film—slapstick comedy, a goofy storyline, and the classic good-guy versus bad-guy setup. Kevin James returns as the clumsy yet oddly determined Officer Blart, a character who often seems completely out of his element but somehow manages to stumble into saving the day. This time the story moves from the mall to Las Vegas, where Blart attends a security guard convention that quickly turns into another accidental adventure involving criminals and casino chaos. Much like the original, the humor leans heavily into physical comedy and absurd situations, which fans of the first movie will recognize immediately. While it delivers some laughs and stays true to the spirit of the original, the film doesn’t offer much new beyond its Vegas setting. It’s entertaining enough for a casual watch, but not necessarily something most people will feel the need to revisit. One aspect that doesn’t land as well is the way security guards are sometimes portrayed. The comedy often leans into belittling the profession for laughs, which can feel a bit overplayed at times. Overall, it’s a light, goofy comedy that might be worth watching once—but probably not twice. See more Darryl W. @BlackFedoraTheatre 2d Enjoyed the first movie a great deal; not this one. Had a couple of funny moments but mostly felt like an after-Weekend Update SNL skit. See more Benjamin W. @Code70 Feb 23 It’s funny, but undeniably bad. The plotting is even worse here than in the original, and the acting even cheesier. It’s incredibly stupid, and I see why many hate it. I’ve always had fun with it and got some laughs, but uh, yeah, it’s a bad movie. See more . . @AnHoa Feb 17 It's just okay with the action scenes See more Samuel P @ILikeArson Feb 14 "Integrity is a bewitching gumbo" 🥵🎤🔥🔥🔥 See more David S. @baxter667 Jan 27 Can't say this is a great sequel and it definitely suffers from a retred of the first film but in Vegas, though I praise it for having been shot there, it feels very out of place and the original is certainly better and Kevin James isn't even likable in this. Terrible story, bad plotting. It does have a few good jokes that do land, but is mostly forgotten and for a good reason. Watch if you're a fan, but I would say leave it alone if you're not...well, watch the original it's better. See more Read all reviews
