Abbey Bender Village Voice The film is ultimately frustrating for the unending opacity of Paulina's psychology. Jun 30, 2017 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com Worth seeing, even if its basic plot repeatedly stalls. It is a thoughtful movie, but not necessarily a fulfilling one. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 23, 2017 Full Review Ken Jaworowski New York Times As stinging as a slap in the face, "Paulina" feels as if it's waking you from a stupor, then shaking you, demanding that you ask yourself some impossible questions about idealism and justice. Jun 22, 2017 Full Review Emiliano Basile EscribiendoCine ... An art and essay film that seeks reflection by helping the audience confront their moral dilemmas. [Full review in Spanish] Dec 1, 2017 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Fonzi's performance is perfectly judged; she knows when to hold back, convincing us of her character's sanity, and yet we never lose sight of her strength, of her power. Audience Member Depressing, Disturbing. I'm Argentinian and love to watch Argentina's movies.. but Dolores Fonzi in my point of view was irritating, stupid. She tried to be a hero and it wasn't helpful with anyone. She was the victim.. but I couldn't feel sad for her, because her pride. Unrealistic and depressing... she hurts everybody who loves her.
