Clarisse Loughrey Independent (UK) The film offers such a rich array of archival footage, interviews, and candid photography that it's no struggle to put together a picture of the kind of man Pavarotti was. Rated: 3/5 Dec 10, 2020 Full Review Stephen Romei The Australian I walked out of this movie feeling good, which I think is the gift Pavarotti returned to everyone. Rated: 4/5 Oct 25, 2019 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald Director Ron Howard knows how to make it emotional and appealing, to make us love the man as well as the extraordinary voice, as he skims the surface of a grand life and career. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 22, 2019 Full Review Tom Beasley VultureHound A useful primer for those unfamiliar with Pavarotti's career and works as a charming trip down memory lane for people who are already fans. Rated: 3/5 Aug 16, 2020 Full Review Joanne Laurier World Socialist Web Site One of the film's most compelling moments, aside from "Nessun Dorma," is the performance of The Three Tenors, Pavarotti, Spaniards Plácido Domingo and José Carreras... Iain M What comes across in spades from this film is the beauty of this man, and I think whether deliberately or not, it hinted that his astonishingly powerful voice was borne out of having a beautiful soul. There were few sad moments throughout this film, and yet tears were pouring down my face for most of it, Pavarotti's voice reaching into my very core. Ron Howard knows his subject, and as far as I am concerned, he knows his audience too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Great informative film, the presence of bono spoiled it though. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved every minute of this film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Documentaries, especially those about Opera and singing, can be dull. Ron Howard, again, has taken the icon Pavarotti and made it a very entertaining film. It makes you want to learn more about the artist and the voice of the century Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It was beautifully done. The music was of course fantastic. The context seemed to cover some of the great events in his life and was extremely moving. I laughed, cried and swooned (because I love his singing). Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member It’s a documentary basically but he was a fascinating character and I learned so much.
