Pedro Zamora (Alex Loynaz), AIDS educator and cast member of the reality television show "The Real World," joins the San Francisco edition of the show, refusing to hide his sexuality or his AIDS diagnosis. When Pedro is cast, he runs into difficulty with certain roommates, especially "Puck" Rainey (Matt Barr), while becoming close friends with Judd Winick (Hale Appleman). After Pedro gets married to Sean Sasser (DaJuan Johnson), his disease accelerates. The film is based on a true story.

WHy the need of changing his death? See more 01/10/2011 I remember watching this unfold back in 1994...learning about the hiv status, and having it exposed on national tv. I thought it took a lot of guts, and for that Pedro deserves alot of respect. This film was a nice tribute to him. Very interesting, and well done. I like that the dvd included key episodes of the Real World with Pedro. Dustin Lance Black added touching details to the story that made this docudrama feel more transcendent than any reality show faire of today could even approach... good stuff.
