A dog owned by newcomer Danny (Bobby Mauch) bites a boy named Rodney (Jackie Morrow), but the pup owned by another youngster, Penrod (Billy Mauch), is about to take the heat. Unbeknownst to his parents (Frank Craven, Spring Byington), Penrod and his pals are bent on exonerating his dog. To buy time, they dispatch Rodney on an errand. As Penrod and Danny discover that their uncanny resemblance caused the canine confusion, Rodney is kidnapped, and now the boys must rescue him.
