After dinner one night, 70-year-old Leo Serano (Philippe Noiret) collapses. A hospital checkup reveals no major problems, but Leo uses the incident as an excuse to try and bring his three bickering sons together. The oldest, David (Charles Berling), is a stressed-out businessman at odds with both unemployed Max (Bruno Putzulu) and cheerfully unambitious Simon (Pascal Elbé). Telling the brothers he has three weeks before heart surgery, Leo asks them to join him on a trip to Quebec.
