Monique Jones Common Sense Media Some might look down on this surprisingly fun sports romance because it was adapted from a racy, self-published Wattpad story. But Perfect Addiction actually holds its own against more "traditional" romantic films -- and in some ways surpasses them... Katara S I really liked it the bathroom scene should have been changed after jax said Kayden Williams killed his mom sienna should have stepped in said what is jax talking about then she walks to jax while Kayden explains what happened and she leaves with Jax of course the ending will have to be changed except for the part were sienna what's to fight and jax helps and Kayden still leaves. That would have been better in my personal a opinion. If there is a a director's cut with it written like that I would definitely release it in my personal opinion. Otherwise a really good movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/14/24 Full Review Brisy O Love it amazing worth to watch Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Codi W I was so happy when I saw that one of my favorite books was turned into a movie. The movie was ok, but I feel like there were scenes from the book that still needed to be portrayed in the movie to get the same feel. There were also a lot of changes from the book. Not saying all them were bad, but some of them were way too different from the book. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/04/24 Full Review Sarah W This is a boxing chick flick. I am a little biased towards chick flicks so I liked it, but it's not for everyone. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/28/24 Full Review BallisticzsGaming R Perfect Addiction is a romantic drama based on the book of the same name that follows an MMA trainer that gets cheated on by her boyfriend, trainee, and champion so she seeks revenge by training his rival opponent where they form a close bond. The one thing that intrigued me about this movie was the fact that MMA fighting was thrown into this romance story so I was interested to see how the fight scenes would play out and if they would be any good and honestly they were underwhelming. This movie is mostly enhanced by the actors Ross Butler and Kiana Madeira, but even with that they don't have the best chemistry. The best scenes I feel like they have are during their dramatic moments together. Matthew Noszka as the ex-boyfriend, Jax, I thought was pretty good in his role as well and I honestly think he might've been the best in his role. The flow of this movie is also really weird as the first act feels rushed through and choppy as this is a 97 minute movie but the movie seems to slow down once the two leads actually get together and things get steamy which are also very well shot love scenes. Overall, I do feel like there is an appeal to this movie with the cast and their performances, and with some of the great drama and romantic scenes but for the most part, this movie is generic and the MMA fighting thrown into the movie doesn't really enhance it that much.
