Oct 2, 2018 Full Review Bradley Gibson Film Threat Even if you're not a game show fan, this film is fascinating. Rated: 8/10 Feb 21, 2018 Full Review Chloe Walker Film Inquiry Perfect Bid is a perfectly fine film. At seventy minutes long, it doesn't overstay its welcome, it's warmly presented, and offers up some interesting behind-the-scenes insights into one of the world's most famous game shows. Dec 29, 2017 Full Review Simon Foster Screen-Space [One] of the most remarkable moments of television history is examined with an acutely insightful eye and jaunty rhythm in director C.J. Wallis' hugely enjoyable doc. Rated: 4/5 Dec 10, 2017 Full Review Read all reviews

Jeff M This is a very lightweight but quite entertaining documentary about one of the more fascinating game show scandals in television history. Slauson is probably the ultimate PRICE IS RIGHT fanatic, attending the show dozens of times. His commitment and dedication are simultaneously admirable and eye-rolling, and it's very interesting watching his path from viewer to contestant to controversial trouble-maker. At less than 75 minutes long, this is a fun little time-passer, especially for those of you who love old games shows as much as I do. And whether you agree with Slauson or not, he's definitely right about one thing - Holly was the greatest Barker Beauty ever. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review Tara u Great story idea, but executed poorly. There seems to be a lot of missed opportunities to really hone in on the narrative. Would benefit from a recut. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/10/23 Full Review alex v Theo got a paycheck for telling the world his life story. Good for him. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review James B This movie is an enigma. It's hands-down the least interesting, most devoid-of-intrigue documentary ever produced, but because of that, there's an intangible quality that keeps you watching in a state of awe. The idea that this was professionally funded, created, edited, sold to Netflix, and promoted on Netflix's front page is nothing short of mind-boggling. The experience of watching Theodore explain every single minute detail of footage from his episodes of The Price is Right (which, by the way, is licensed by the creators and is interspliced with Theodore's interview, and could just be viewed on its own) was a level of mundanity not previously thought possible. There is no pay-off. There is no point. There are no stakes. There is no reason to watch this. Unless you want to enter a similar state of incredulity. This is probably screened on repeat in purgatory. 1.5 stars. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/19/22 Full Review Audience Member I had to turn it off half way through due to the cringe. Theodore comes off as self-absorbed and uncomfortably obsessed with Holly. He is not nearly as interesting as he or the director believe. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Fletcher I Non-stop cringefest. Director needed to have a stronger POV on the central figure. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/12/22 Full Review Read all reviews
