Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times A movie made of froth and sweep-second hands and Ursula Andress. It is of absolutely no consequence or importance at all, but it's nice while you're watching it. Rated: 3/4 Jul 9, 2018 Full Review Tony Mastroianni Cleveland Press The eventual triple-cross is well heralded early on but the ending still manages some surprises. Andrea A Directed by one of the most revered directors in the history of British theatre, in one of his rare forays into cinema, and quite theatrical in the way it relies on the performances of the main trio... and with shades and remnants of British "Free Cinema"... this one starts off as a rather silly thing, and keeps on being quite silly, but in a clever way... the way the story initially goes back and forth, showing the characters continuously deceiving and misleading one another; the laconic, exhilarating dialogues; the brilliant acting by all three and - most of all - by the lovely Ursula Andress, outstanding in a comic role, one of her best performances - what's not to like Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/31/22 Full Review Audience Member Very dated, somnolent heist 'thriller', set in a very chilly London. Peter Hall tries to emulate Nicolas Roeg by using freeze frame, flashbacks etc and an annoyingly jaunty Johnny Dankworth score. The performances are stiff, the pacing glacial, the whole thing rather a waste of time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
