Set in rural Ontario, "Perfect Pie" traces the lifelong connection of two women; one who has chosen to stay on her farm and the other who, driven by small town torment as a child, chose to escape. While the adults are going back to their past, the story of the girls at both ten and fifteen drives inexorably forward to the same event which scarred and shaped the lives of the adult women. When the past meets the present, a catharsis is achieved forcing the women to re-examine their lives.

bruce a Very moving story about the long-term effects of abusive treatment. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting movie. Two best friends reunite after a 30 year absence. And it takes a whole movie to explain the reasons why. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member ummm it was different Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Wasn't terrible, but I know the film director took it in a very different direction than the original playwright intended. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member wendy crewson is great. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a nice movie, a perfect one for a quiet evening at home. The friendship is built through flashbacks and it is nice to see Rachel McAdams in an early role and Wendy Crewson really lets us see her in a different light.
