David Stratton The Australian There's a level of originality here that's welcome, though it doesn't entirely overcome the basically trivial nature of the material... Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 3, 2021 Full Review Tomris Laffly Variety An enchanting journey into life's assorted aromas. Mar 17, 2021 Full Review Donald Clarke Irish Times Nobody will be enormously surprised by how the story plays itself out. But everyone involved sings the old songs with committed gusto. Rated: 4/5 Aug 24, 2020 Full Review Jane Freebury The Canberra Times (Australia) An irresistible odd couple comedy of scents and sensibilities that delves into the rarefied world of a pedantic olfactory genius who has to get on with her shambolic chauffeur Rated: 4/5 Jul 18, 2021 Full Review Sarah Ward Concrete Playground Wouldn't work if it didn't unfurl with gentle but genuine warmth, if it didn't value attention to detail so highly, and if it didn't have both Devos and Montel as its anchors; however, thankfully they're all a part of this elegant Gallic effort. Jul 9, 2021 Full Review Andiee Paviour Nobody's Reading This But Me The beauty of the blossoming friendship between the two low-key leads is its uplifting lesson in potential. Peter W Overall, Perfume is a lovely film with plenty of heart. It is a solid film that tells the story of two people who form an unlikely friendship and help each other in various areas, including personal matters and the world of business and sales. I was pleased by this film and touched by its feel-good themes and vibes from the start. Performances are excellent and, again, feeling. While some moments are predictable, it is easy to forgive them, and I still enjoy watching certain critical elements from the plot unfold. It's a good movie that focuses on the power of a solid friendship, and I must say, there are not many solid gems like this in film nowadays. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/29/23 Full Review Mary R An engaging, entertaining and well-acted movie. A great story without guns sex or rock ‘n' roll. Sublime. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/19/22 Full Review Audience Member A lightly attractive film to enjoy with a group of friends or alone. A story of two strangers with prejudices at first then became more friendly after understand each other's stories. Bringing some new knowledges about fragant. Falling love with French voices. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Wasted opportunity. Intriguing premise, good actors, but as so often with French films, dissolved into yawn-provoking and irrelevant side tracks, disconnected scenes, undeveloped dramatic moments. When will the French learn to actually tell a STORY?? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Delightful way to spend a couple of surprise-free hours. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Una película francesa de esas que nos dejan sintiendo bien sobre la vida. Optimista y tierna.
