05/13/2011 a midlife-crisis mee pok man... kay tong plays his broken/abusive role a bit too well. but i was totally unprepared for the unnecessary gore at the end. the dialogue (especially selvam's) is quite funny & nostalgia-inducing for those of us who miss singapore. While the acting was generally very good, some of the scenes were overacted and seemed over the top. Still overall a good movie, particularly when you are frustrated or in a bad mood. See more 11/21/2009 I prefer the old Harry in Perth to the young Travis in Taxi Driver. Same plot, slightly tweaked, better directing. Guns are hard to get in most developed countries, but scenes like Perth's machete or Old Boy's hammer are welcome replacements. Singapore pidgin is interesting.
