Hector M While the photography is quite good, the documentary lacks an unifying thread. Plainly speaking, there's a surprising lack of congruent narrative. Quite often the viewer wonders why the film maker lingers for so long on specific subjects like two specific surfers (an endless 16 minutes), or the repeated views of motorways in Lima. At the same time, the documentary scarcely delves on the richness of Peruvian cuisine while instead choosing to talk the motivations of a specific Japanese-Peruvian cook. The story is amazingly incomprehensible, frankly. I wrestled with falling asleep, and at the end, I did. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
