Sean L. McCarthy Decider Any chance to try to understand Pete Davidson a bit better is an opportunity worth taking, especially if you’re the type to absorb all of the tabloid fodder about him. Jan 9, 2024 Full Review Clare Martin Paste Magazine Turbo Fonzarelli ends up feeling puerile, an hour where Davidson can munch on the lowest hanging fruit without much effort at all. matthias s Didn’t know what to expect—never caught a Pete special before—but I’ve always liked his chaotic charm on SNL. Turbo Fonzarelli feels like Pete on cruise control: wild stories, weird energy, and just enough laugh-out-loud lines to keep you in. The Leonardo DiCaprio and Make-A-Wish kid bits? Comedy gold. The rest? More smirk than snort. It’s fun, but not fireworks. Still, there’s something likable about his no-filter delivery and self-deprecating vibe. Not a knockout set, but I’m intrigued enough to check out more. Pete’s still got that “guy you’d want at your party” appeal. Worth a shot. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/24 Full Review Katie P I wasn't laughing the entire time. But I did laugh so hard I cried multiple times. It's been a long time since I've seen a comedy special that did that to me. Thanks Pete! I'd send you 20 pairs of cookie underwear to say thank you if I could. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/24 Full Review SundayNightStreaming o Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli - 7.1 - This one caught me laughing early and often, Pete Davidson has a much more unique style than other comedies, he gets vulgar real quick. It is extremely dark humor that is sometimes too far, but I think he perfected it in this one, he is a weird guy that has a very interesting life so it made for a lot of quick jokes that were great. His whole bit about thinking he was in love with Leonardo DiCaprio when he was a kid killed me. When he ends it with have you seen any hot girls from Staten Island and then is like I still think Leo is hotter than them, I was dying laughing. Even his make a wish bit, him being like is the wish that I am dead. He really goes there and it makes for a dark comedic show. Worth the watch, get ready for some aggressive jokes but all in good fun. He is one interesting cat, full of some wild stories.
