Jamie M Oh dear, oh dear…. Where do I start, this really was very badly put together indeed. You can't blame the material either, the story is a heralded literary classic for goodness sake! You would think that with a Disney budget (even a straight to streaming one) it would be difficult to mess this up. But you would have thought wrong, as they really have made a terrible mess of this. The directing lacks magic & the casting is shocking. Pan just feels wooden and has very little connectivity with Wendy or the rest of the cast. Wendy too is pretty unbelievable in the role and the worst of all is hook and the pirates. Law just doesn't have the gravitas for the role and Smee is Awful! Admittedly, living up to Dustin Hoffman and Bob Hoskins is almost an impossibility, but even if I had nothing to compare it to, I'd still want to turn it off. Don't waste your time, just watch Hook (again) instead, it never lets you down. More Never-watch than Never-land!
