      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Though it doesn't delve deeply into the darkness of J.M. Barrie's tale, Peter Pan is a heartwarming, exuberant film with some great tunes.

THR Staff Hollywood Reporter It is doubtful if the wistful fantasy has ever been done with such charm and beauty as fills the Walt Disney version of James M. Barrie's fanciful play. Feb 8, 2019 Full Review Dolores Barclay Associated Press In the 36 years of its existence, the movie has aged as little as Peter himself. It is still a lush, bright feature that happily clicks along with rollicking songs by Sammy Cahn, Sammy Fain and others. Oct 22, 2018 Full Review Kate Cameron New York Daily News A delightful entertaining film that will appeal to the young and the not-so young alike. Rated: 4/4 Feb 5, 2016 Full Review Jet Staff Jet Magazine Disney’s all-animated technicolor version of the J. M. Barrie classic is loaded with laughs and is sure to be entertaining for adult movie ' goers as well as the small fry. Jan 16, 2024 Full Review Carson Timar ButteredPopcorn Even if one chooses to play ignorant to the problematic backbone that is present in nearly every scene of the film, the world is never explored in a particularly interesting sense and the drama often is underwhelming. Jan 4, 2023 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy On the plus side, the animation is gorgeous, Never Land is imaginatively designed, and Tinkerbell and Hook remain amusing characters. On the flip side, Peter Pan isn't the most engaging of protagonists, and a little of the Lost Boys goes a long way. Rated: 3/4 Aug 11, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Pillow R There are racial stereotypes in this movie Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/11/24 Full Review Jorge R Ahh, back when Disney was at there glory days.😌 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Emery A It has an average plot, which is creative but not sufficiently explored, there are negative points such as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell being so selfish and irritating, he can even be considered a villain because he is nothing like a hero. Wendy is the only decent and likeable character. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/15/23 Full Review monica s Maravilhoso emocionante Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/24/23 Full Review John carlos Peter Pan is really good I liked it and it was really good now first off the story The story is good the theme about a boy who never grew up is actually pretty good and when Peter Pan brought the kids to Neverland that's when the movie started to turn really good The story is a good way to make people laugh and there are some scenes that I kind of did not expect it kind of did not expect it next up is the animation The animation as always is amazing especially Neverland it is a beautiful land and the action scenes between Peter and Captain Hook is very well animated and the flying scenes are the highlights of the animation and the animation is the second highlight of the movie now for the characters The characters are pretty funny half of them first off we have Peter Pan he was an enjoyable guy Wendy she was mid that little kid with a teddy bear he wasn't that bad and the other kid in the group is not bad either Captain Hook was really funny and that fat guy is pretty funny as well Captain Hook and that fat guy are My favorite characters of the whole movie and the pirate crew were really fun to hang around with so those are my thoughts on Peter Pan's it was very good A really good story amazing animation and pretty funny characters overall Peter Pan gets an 8 out of 10 really good Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/26/23 Full Review Michael One of Disney masterpiece.
