matthias s **Peter Pan (1953) – 3 Stars** I never really watched this version as a kid, but over time, I’ve grown to appreciate it. That said, my love for *Peter Pan* comes from the 2003 adaptation, which I watched endlessly. Here’s the thing—I absolutely despise Peter as a character. He’s cocky, reckless, and just not someone I root for. But Captain Hook and Smee? Now *that’s* where the fun is. Their chaotic adventures and Hook’s constant battles with that ticking crocodile are the highlights. The worldbuilding is also fantastic—Neverland looks like a place I’d love to visit, even if it is full of mischievous kids and vengeful pirates. There are some genuinely funny moments, and the animation is classic Disney charm, but overall, it didn’t blow me away. It’s enjoyable, but nothing truly special. Watching this movie is akin to getting intestinal cancer. If I was responsible for this mess I would cut myself vertically. Don't ever watch this bubonic plague sorry excuse for a movie. It has all the charm of having a painful rash while ticks slowly eat through your skin. I would rather have a 4 foot pimple on my eyelid than to ever see another second of this hideous, revolting, vile, inbred fossilized vertebrate of a movie with a soggy cowboy hat and a moldy piece of gum stuck to it. Never again do I want to subject myself to this torture, it made blood come pouring out of my eyes. And with every fiber of my being and the passion of 1000 suns. I NEVER want to see this movie EVER again. And I'd rather inhale anthrax spores than to subject myself to seeing another nanosecond of this insignificant waste of my time. This movie has no reason to exist, and if it suddenly vanished the world would be a better place. This movie is a giant arachnid dissecting you and slowly eating away at every internal organ. Do not and I mean DO NOT let this nuclear bomb be released in society again. It is beyond painful and I hope nobody, not even my worst enemy has to watch this cat diarrhea. I was bored and confused, and I know how common this was back in this day, but nothing can make up for how offensive some of this movie's scenes are. Some other Disney movies around this time have a few offensive characters, but Peter Pan has a whole song, not to mention slurs are used. Peter himself is an annoying and arrogant character, I really don't know what kind of lesson this would ever teach kids.
