C'est alors l'occasion pour Mike Myers, qui joue leur protecteur dealer de drogue de montrer qu'il sait y faire en performance dramatique. Il se trouve qu'il y est plutôt bon, même quand il essaie de passer pour un jeune Michael Caine. C'est d'ailleurs le seul intérêt d'un film au grand coeur mais au développement assez crétin et schématique, qui tombe très vite dans le manichéisme et le moralisme le plus ennuyeux. La conclusion, qui voit Myers faire un remake de la fin de Get Carter avec Michael Caine est plutôt réussie, mais c'est dommage qu'il faille passer par une heure et demie pour y arriver. Pete's Meteor n'est que pour les fanatiques de Mike Myers. See more 05/13/2014 In spite of it's terrific cast, this film has a lot of unapproachable characters that distances the audience. The acting is fine, good score and cinematography but the film just isn't very likable. See more 12/07/2010 Hard to understand and pretty boring. See more 11/01/2010 As a Myers fan I have to ask....What was he thinking? The plot or lack thereof was absurd, the acting by the 3 young children was terrible, the ending was a joke, and the effects were laughable. Plus a meteor the size of a BIG watermelon would have made a much bigger hole and would have destroyed the house even if it hadn't directly hit it. I really can't say anything good about this waste of almost 2 hours (other than the fact you get to hear Myers use his Irish accent). But don't be fooled thinking Myers is the main star as he has a smaller part than the cover would suggest. Oh and one last complaint, the accents were so thick by the children that it was hard to understand yet no English subtitles are available, luckily I speak Spanish and Spanish subtitles were available. Unless you have an extreme desire to watch all the movies Myers was involved in you may want to avoid this one.
