Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord who was entombed on Earth millions of years ago after a failed attempt to destroy the universe. They nickname the evil creature Psycho Goreman (or PG for short) and use the magical amulet they discovered to force him to obey their childish whims. It isn't long before PG's reappearance draws the attention of intergalactic friends and foes from across the cosmos and a rogues' gallery of alien combatants converges in small-town suburbia to battle for the fate of the galaxy.

Leslie Felperin Guardian It helps that Hanna, Ninaber and the rest of the cast have acute comic timing and know how to sell the material. Rated: 3/5 May 20, 2021 Full Review Adam Graham Detroit News "Psycho Goreman" is a hilarious gut-buster in every sense of the term. Rated: B Jan 29, 2021 Full Review Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com Psycho Goreman isn't clever or lively enough to be more than fitfully fun, especially given how much time is spent mocking generic, but painstakingly recreated plot contrivances Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 23, 2021 Full Review Megan Seling The Stranger (Seattle, WA) It mocks many of the classic 1980s psychotronic B-movie tropes—exaggerated characters, extra splattery and creative kill scenes, and plot holes for days—but it's all coming from a place of love for the genre and delivered with a knowing wink. Dec 20, 2024 Full Review Christopher Cross Tilt Magazine Oozing with affection, few films manage the dizzying balance of over-the-top gore and childlike exuberance like this. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 10, 2022 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review It's an absurdist oddity: a ghastly movie with costumed monsters and excessive slapstick gore, yet it resists the abrasive edge of a Troma production and feels abnormally silly. Emilliano Jr S Frig yourself for an awesome vibe of gore, 80's B movie, Stranger Things & Power Rangers like. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Jay A This was like power rangers/GWAR crazy with super awesome gore. Felt like "Deathgasm". Good movie, loads of fun. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review Michael T If you can shut your brain off for 90 minutes and like cheap gore, you may find enjoyment here. However, if you can't, you will probably be pulling your hair out 20 minutes into the film. Low quality costumes, cheesy to flatly stupid writing, characters whose personalities seem to drastically change half way through the film, and a lead that is wholly unlikeable after the first ten minutes. Watch it for the sheer camp value if you like that sort of thing, but avoid at all costs if you don't. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/29/24 Full Review vanessanasa If you're the generation that grew up with Power Rangers and you're a bit demented, you're gonna love this!! Don't expect any morals and ethics, this is just good old-fashioned 80s/90's style camp horror. It showcases all the death scenes I long for growing up with P.R as a grown adult now. There's some moments you're just so disgusted with the special effects, and then you're just rip roaring laughing. Did I mention it includes an original 80's hair metal song? Just watch the dang movie, it's not meant to be deep. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/04/23 Full Review That H If you like over the top Comedy-gore….this may be up your alley. Reminds me of GWAR with a touch of a witty/sassy teen. That female teen lead(Nita-Josee Hanna) was perfect as the condescending-wisecracking daughter of a slacker father, who is pretty funny himself. He also is an irritant according to his wife(most couples could probably relate to these two, LOL!). The "monsters" are over the top, as you might expect, but have their moments. If you go into this with no huge expectations and just know it's one of those purposely ridiculous Sci-Fi-"horror"-Comedy…..you may enjoy this. I did. I couldn't get enough of Mimi. She was funny from the beginning when she was playing that game with her brother on the front lawn. Her wise azz comments and facial expressions got my funny bone majority of the time. Good show overall imho Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Overall, suppose you're seeking a horror film that's highly brainless, witty and packed with fun levels of creativity in the story, costumes and violence. In that case, Psycho Goreman will deliver some wild entertainment on your big screen. Thanks to many aspects, the film also delivers a fun retro vibe through the instrumental rock soundtrack and a story that left me wanting to see more, especially regarding the leading monster Psycho Goreman. Any issues I have with this film are generally minor and quite forgiving. Having seen the film several times now, I enjoy its level of dark comedy more and more with each rewatch and find myself admiring all that is on display, including the huge effort that has gone into it and the cleverness.
