David Y An absolute cult classic. If you love horror movies that are just crazy dark, then this is it. The tall man who looks insanely evil, the 3 round spheres, the grave yards, the abandoned town, graveyards & morticians-this movie has it all. Its in my top ten. There's no other horror movie like this one. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review Jason S I think both two movie are 5 starts but i the second one is better than the first one by a little bit because the acting is little better the budget is lot biger and the tall ma had best lines in the franchise and the characters are the best in the franchise. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/07/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting sequel that feels as though they went off course a little. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Decent, but flawed sequel. The plot is weak for a 9 year absence, but there's some solid special effects thanks to the Universal Pictures almost insulting budget. Unfortunately, our favorite Tall Man has far less screen time than in the original. But we do get a pretty solid ending, which is still the highlight. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/11/22 Full Review Liam D It's not as good as the groundbreaking original but it's a crazy and entertaining sequel Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/09/22 Full Review Audience Member A little more entertaining then the predecessor but not as original. it still a pretty worthy sequel. Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness There's little to enjoy about this second outing save for Scrimm's deliciously menacing specter of death. Rated: C Oct 31, 2005 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times The images are of corpses and graveyards, spurting blood and severed skulls.... Sitting through a film like this, which contains so little of genuine interest, I found myself meditating on such images, wondering who they would appeal to, and why. Rated: 1/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Nathan Paige Call and Post (Cleveland) Who is the Tall Man? Why can't he die? Why does he do what he does? What goes on in the other dimension? Jan 25, 2022 Full Review Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy The movie you get when you take Phantasm and throw money at it... the more grown-up film, in more ways than one, and it's not entirely to its credit. Rated: 7/10 Jun 5, 2011 Full Review Steve Dread Central Phantasm II has a nice sense of fun to it which makes it the perfect viewing material for this time of year.
