A group of women living in Madrid are navigating troubled, complicated and often comic lives. Adela (Antonia San Juan) is conflicted about running a brothel and raising her disabled daughter (Monica Cervera). Wealthy Isabel (Ángela Molina) is obsessed with a fortune teller who reads feet instead of palms. Maricarmen (Vicky Peña) drives a taxi and is raising her late husband's children. Leire (Najwa Nimri) is having trouble finding inspiration. All the women must struggle to forge a new life.
