Shoojit Sircar's heartfelt and at once heartwarming crowdpleaser is a searing example of how a film can be truly uplifted by exceptional performances- though Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan both are in there humorous best here, the real show goes to Deepika Padukone, who not only delivers a career-best performance as the confident and irritable Piku Banerjee, bur also achieves the fest that you feel for her, and just hit her for being so caring for her cantankerous Bengali father.
