Robert T "The Pilot" is an excellent script that translated to a very good film with solid acting talent and an important message about substance abuse. Cliff Robertson even got type-rated in the Douglas DC-8 to make the film. Since this film has only ever been released on a poor quality 4:3 VHS transfer (that went out of print in the early 1990s), it is difficult to speak to the cinematography. I suspect it would be beautiful if we could ever get a look at an HD transfer where we could see the whole frame...but it looks like that's never going to happen. I don't know who owns this film, but they're certainly not trying to distribute it anywhere. It's a much better script, and Cliff Robertson is a much better, and more interesting actor. And that's all I have to say about that. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A film the airline industry does not want you to see. Drunk pilots, planes flying on fumes, faulty parts, near crash landings, and turbulence that ejects passengers from their seats. I don't care how good the in-flight refreshments are, I'll be booking my next trip with Greyhound.
