Visually dazzling but soulless, the largely inert Pinocchio reaffirms that you should always let your conscience be your guide… away from unnecessary remakes.

Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/26/25 Full Review BlueTop World b this is a bad movie and thats all you need to know Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/01/25 Full Review Luiz Eduardo R Crítica resumida – Pinóquio (2022) O maior acerto de Pinóquio (2022) está justamente onde muitos live-actions da Disney falham: o CGI. Nota 7/10. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/01/25 Full Review Katie R “I like it but not a lot…I don’t like it.” - Gru Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/16/25 Full Review brayden w I gotta be blunt: this movie was god awful. Seriously, who asked for this? And it felt like Disney did not try at all. First off, the visual aesthetic. It was just... lifeless. The original animated Pinocchio is a masterpiece of hand-drawn animation, full of character and magic. This live-action (or whatever they want to call it with all that CGI) version felt completely devoid of soul. Pinocchio himself, Jiminy Cricket, Geppetto – they all looked uncanny and weird, not charming or endearing. The CGI was often stiff, and the whole world felt sterile, not the vibrant, fantastical place it should have been. It was like they took all the warmth out of the original and replaced it with a generic, polished blandness. Then there's the story. It's Pinocchio, so we know the beats, right? But this version didn't bring anything new or exciting to the table. It just rehashed the original without understanding what made it so special. The pacing felt off, the emotional moments didn't land, and the sense of wonder was completely missing. It was a paint-by-numbers remake that felt like a chore to watch. There was no fresh perspective, no modern twist that actually added value. It was just... the same, but worse. And the performances? With a talented cast involved, you'd hope for something, but it felt like everyone was just going through the motions. There was no magic in the delivery, no spark that made you care about these iconic characters. It genuinely felt like a corporate mandate rather than a creative endeavor. It's frustrating to see a beloved story handled with such apparent indifference. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/02/25 Full Review Andy C The cricket got me gooning at least.
