Former police officer Matt Conlin (Steven Seagal) hits rock bottom. His drinking is out of control, and he has huge gambling debts. Just as Matt is about to give up all hope, an enigmatic old man (Lance Henriksen) approaches him with a proposition. The old man will pay off Matt's gambling debts if he agrees to assassinate the city's top gangsters. Though Matt is reluctant, he accepts the old man's mission, but soon realizes it isn't as straightforward as it seems.

Wow, the only good thing when I think of Segal was his Wife, the Woman in Red. The face Segal makes all the time, makes me wonder if he has serious pain in the stomach. Also, how could he get this role? Is there really an audience for this kind of shit? The Poker scene at the beginning was wack too,

Alors que cela démarrait comme un bon DTV avec un Seagal assez différent de d'habitude et donc beaucoup plus drôle, Pistol Whipped se trouve finalement perdre tout son intérêt au bout de quarante minutes, quand l'intrigue se met en branle et que Lance Henriksen disparaît peu à peu du film. Il reste toujours Paul Calderon pour entourer Seagal mais c'est trop peu de bons acteurs dans un film qui fait la part belle aux dialogues. C'est bien malheureux car il y avait une belle ambition dans ce film. Mais la carrière de Seagal, en 2008, reprend définitivement du poil de la bête.

Synopsis
