Bilge Ebiri Spirituality & Health The good news is that Planetary is a visual treat, and, for all the alarm it raises, it's ironically one of the more watchable works of its kind. Mar 24, 2020 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety A stunning cinematic picture book and worthy if somewhat overreaching lecture on the imperiled state of Mother Earth. May 1, 2015 Full Review Robert Faires Austin Chronicle Their calm, measured words, the Human Suits' tranquil score, and the film's steady, even pace almost promote a meditative state -- fitting, perhaps, for receiving Planetary's message. Apr 23, 2015 Full Review Josh Terry Deseret News (Salt Lake City) It makes for a film that is beautiful to watch and interesting to think about if taken with the right grain of salt. Nov 5, 2015 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film The further the documentary progresses, the more enlightenment is strangled by hand-wringing. Rated: 2/5 May 4, 2015 Full Review Zach Hollwedel Under the Radar The only standout is cinematographer Christopher Ferstad's beautiful shots, which would elevate any other documentary to a thing of beauty. Audience Member I enjoyed this extended contemplation of our place on the extraordinary planet earth shown through gorgeous images and told through the thoughtful, articulate words of leading philosophers, spiritual teachers, anthropologists, writers and astronauts. It's more important than ever to take the time to connect with our home and find together a way to protect it and live sustainably. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful. If we could all understand the message in this movie, we would come together instead of dividing ourselves. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member One of the cinematography highlights from the 2015 edition for the Hod Docs film fest which showcases some never before captured celestrial shots in orbit of our fragile little planet with the latest digital cameras which capture some amazing images of the northern lights, to the fragile horizon line of the protective shield of atmosphere that surrounds us as well as various other phenomenon. The content is nothing necessarily new since there is a lot of films out there covering the subject that this is the only planet we got and take care of it. More meant to be seen of the biggest screens possible for the visuals and enjoy the marvel of how this tech has improved over time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Screw you critics, I can see why people tend to hate you. This was a very well shot and very good film. It hit good arguments, which not very many films seem to do these days. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
