Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic The movie has its moments (some of the songs are fun, as always), but like Plankton’s efforts at taking over the world, it’s ultimately a disappointment. Rated: 2/5 Mar 8, 2025 Full Review Calum Baker Radio Times SpongeBob Squarepants's diminutive nemesis, Sheldon J Plankton, gets a musical spin-off feature that starts well but runs out of nautical nonsense by the final act. Rated: 2/5 Apr 1, 2025 Full Review Shawn Edwards Fox 4 Kansas City The premise is actually just zany enough to be fun. Rated: 3/5 Mar 20, 2025 Full Review Cole Groth FandomWire This spinoff perfectly represents SpongeBob SquarePants’ lowly state combined with the weak quality of Netflix’s catalog. Rated: 5/10 Mar 18, 2025 Full Review Mat Brunet AniMat's Review (YouTube) Plankton may not have the secret formula to a great movie, but his love for his wife is just enough to make this visit to Bikini Bottom worth it. Rated: 6/10 Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media This series spin-off has a built-in audience for its beloved characters as well as some positive themes, but the evil robot plot could overwhelm the youngest (and annoy the oldest) audiences. I am L Me: For someone who loves being evil. Plankton is at least someone who actually cares about others deep down his evil chest that locks away his heart. Plus he more sympathetic & enjoying then Eugen Harold Krabs who lost his fans that those who love being at bikini bottom and hanging around with the enjoyable residents that live here a long time ago 🦀🧈 Story: 9.3/10 Animation: 9/10 Characters: 8.4/10 Overall: 96/100🖥️💗💚 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Sam T The Plankton Movie was not the best and the older films were better. The quality of this film is not as good as the first films. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/25 Full Review Colette P While nothing to write home about, the shreds of SpongeBob’s magic are starting to return. Even if the series is not as sharp as it once was, this was certainly a huge improvement over their last film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/31/25 Full Review Austin K Poorly animated movie: I don’t understand why this movie has to be 3d. I just don’t. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/18/25 Full Review I love S Plankton movie is very valuable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/16/25 Full Review Christian K By the time the 17th awful musical number kicked off I was pretty much in hell with this movie. The animation style is really bad and I didn't get any sort of nostalgic bump for any of the characters. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/12/25 Full Review Read all reviews
