Amy Wolfe Willamette Week The film is too ra-ra on vegetables, though. I left the theater craving greasy cheese fries after being subjected to quinoa clips for so long. Rated: C Jan 2, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A very well put together documentary on years of research and proof, that the American diet is killing us and people with interest are letting it happen. A plant based diet is not only good for the individual, but also the health of the country and planet. Our sustainability s in question. Amazing content for anyone who gives a shit. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Having started this WFPB WOE for health reasons for both my Husband & I, this movie has reinforced the fact that our suspicion about "Food" being the culprit for some of our ailments was correct! The Food industry would like to keep us addicted to line their pockets but this movie (and several others) exposes the truth. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member somewhat of a rehashing of Forks Over Knives and any other vegan diet documentary. Convincing though. I hear the cookbook that goes along with this is awesome. It seems the common theme among diets that are healthy/have positive health impacts are based on whole foods. Someone mentioned WHOLE FOODS in their review---this is not an ad for the store WFM...it is the term used to describe unadulterated/real food. So for this it would be no added oils, sugars, or partial grains. This was somewhat a similar take on the Sugar Coated doc (recommended) in that it brings to light the money behind government and all the ugly that goes into that. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The last two minute of the film are about how the western diet is about large corporations making money. I went to the PlantPure Nation website and they are also all about making money. It is always about making money, no matter who is promoting the diet. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Having studied nutrition in my retirement and learned of the degredation of large areas of land for cattle and the burger industry and the cruelty to animals as well as the non sustainability of this industry and the trillions of dollars spent on the Health industry in the USA to "treat" meat/dairy related illnesses..this is an excellent documentary. Kudos to Mr Colin Campbell and the China Study which Ive read about in Dr Fuhrmans book as well..in China they found that the plant based whole foods diet engendered longevity and good health. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member So, this movie popped up on my Netflix and I've made it about an hour in. I am not commenting on the legitimacy of vegan diets, or anything of that sort. All of the science suggests that these things do work.. However, there is a very clear trend in this movie. The first 30 minutes, starts with the creator and other doctors talking about a "Plant Based Diet". After 30 minutes, they get into doctors talking about "Whole Plant Based Diets"Then BAM.. 45 minutes in, we get a doctor talking to us about a "WHOLE FOODS Plant Based Diet".. Saw that one coming a mile away. Why can't people just be reasonable and actually try to help other people without trying to subliminally ram a product down their throat? Cmon Whole Foods.. if these diets work, then the customers will come. Don't be greedy like the rest of the industry that is destroying the health of their customers.
