Audience Member Aimee Mann and John Doe are a wonderfully witty pair! The music industry related "truths" portrayed in this film were seriously humorous ? without an obviously scripted attempt. With the help of an equally talented and unique supporting cast, I was surprised at the ease of their performance flow. "Pleased To Meet Me" has such a natural feel, it's as if you are truly observing a real moment in music history. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Nobody dies and nothing blows up. Pleased to meet Me is just good indie moviemaking with a cast you won't see together anywhere else. Definitely not the same old song and dance. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Very entertaining movie. Reminded me of The Commitments. Good story about putting a band together in one day. Authentic musicians really add to the feel. Very well put together. I can't wait to see more from this director! Ben Sachs Chicago Reader The chief pleasure of this unassuming indie drama comes from watching veteran musicians try their hand at acting. May 1, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
