Jeff B I would give it zero stars if possible. What were they thinking? Watch the original, it's still a great film in 2025. Don't f*ck with the classics if you're going to make garbage like this. (Don't get me wrong this movie is atrocious), but the whole overarching plot is an interesting one. the stunt scenes were really well made although extremely unrealistic. The worst part about this movie was everything else: the acting, color grading was horrendous, some scenes felt extremely long and unnecessary, numerous plot holes, etc. Overall this movie is very bad, but it is still enjoyable as a stunt show. It raises the question of whether remakes are necessary, or if there's a way to innovate and breathe new life into older franchises without starting from scratch, especially in the age of social media. Sadly, this film missed the mark. The action sequences fell flat, the plot diverged in unappealing ways from the original, and the performances lacked the energy needed to support a successful remake. In the end, the film felt disjointed and failed to capture the essence of its predecessor. Instead of invoking nostalgia, it came across as a forced attempt to recapture the magic of the original, with little regard for what made it special. I cannot recommend it at all.
